Why can't I edit a filed 1099 form?
Draft and Generated forms allow edits; filed originals use separate correction records.
Ordinary editing is available for Draft and Generated forms, using Export reports and 1099s permission. After a form is Filed, the screen uses a separate correction or void record and retains the original. Creating a correction does not replace the original's status or submit a new filing. Review Correct or void a 1099 form, including the warning about a void record that retains withholding amounts.
