Use the public invoice and payment page

Understand the invoice link, PDF actions and online payment result page.

Who can do this
Anyone with a valid invoice link
You'll need
A valid invoice link; online payment also needs an unpaid invoice and a saved Stripe checkout link
On this page

The invoice email's View Invoice link lets the customer open the invoice without signing in to your business. Anyone with a valid link can use it, so share it only with the intended recipient. The normal email link expires after 30 days.

Open and save the invoice

  1. Open View Invoice from the email.
  2. Review the invoice details and balance.
  3. Select View PDF to open a printable copy.
  4. Select Download PDF to save a copy.

The public invoice uses the business's saved document design. Its PDF links are signed and expire 30 days after that page generates them. If the invoice link is invalid or expired, ask the sender for a fresh email.

Pay online

  1. Select Pay Now if it is shown.
  2. Complete the card checkout in Stripe.

The payment button requires enabled online payments, Stripe as the selected provider, a positive unpaid balance and an existing payment link. Opening the public page does not create a missing payment link. The checkout requests the current balance when its payment link is created; it does not offer a partial-payment amount field.

Understand the return page

After checkout, the success return page says Payment received. A cancellation says Payment not completed. Return to QixCount opens the main site.

The success page itself does not record or verify the payment. The business must check the invoice's payment history after Stripe activity is processed. Canceling checkout clears the saved checkout link on an unpaid invoice; the sender may need to send another invoice email to create a fresh one.

See the invoice page and paying online from your customer's side.

Next, the sender can review Stripe invoice payments or review recorded payments.
