Connect a firm and assign accountants by name
Approve firm access separately from optional subscription invoice payments.
October 31, 2026. Accounting firms can request a connection to a client business, then assign named colleagues after its owner approves. The firm workspace and approved named accountant access are free. Clients retain their own books and subscriptions.
An owner shares the workspace link from Settings, People & access, Accounting firm. The firm owner requests the connection and assigns accountants after approval. Approval alone does not give every firm member access; the firm owner also needs a named assignment to open client books. Firm entry requires two-step verification.
Permission for the firm to pay subscription invoices is a separate optional choice. It does not make the firm a business owner or give it control of the subscription. Revoking the connection removes assigned access; invoices already accepted into a consolidation still need resolution.
