A Stripe connection with imported activity
On this page

Stripe activity shows imported charges, refunds, and payouts, with linked customers, invoices, payments, and journal entries where available.

Review an item

  1. Open Banking, then Stripe activity.
  2. Choose Connection, Type, Status, or Matched, or enter an ID, email, or description in Search.
  3. Select Apply Filters.
  4. Select View beside an item.

The list shows 50 items per page. Clear removes filters. Summary counts cover all activity, not only filtered results.

Processing status Meaning
Pending Not yet marked processed.
Processed The importer completed processing. Invoice matching is separate.
Failed Processing failed; review Processing Error: on the detail page.
Skipped Marked as skipped through this screen.

Review Transaction Details, Customer & Invoice, and any Payment Record or Journal Entries shown. A payout can also show its related activity. Processing badges are separate from the detail field Status, which is Stripe's transaction state.

Match an invoice

For an unmatched charge with a linked customer, check Payment Record and its invoice allocations before applying a match:

  1. Under Manual Invoice Matching, select a suggested invoice.
  2. Select Match.
  3. Review the linked invoice and any payment allocations shown.

Suggestions include up to five open invoices for that customer whose balance is within $0.01 of the charge. There is no unrestricted invoice search here.

Matching links the invoice and, when a payment exists, allocates payment funds up to the invoice balance. Nonprofit requires the original current receipt and blocks changing existing allocations to another invoice.

Warning

In General, Unmatch Invoice removes payment allocations and recalculates every affected invoice's balance and status. The payment and posted journal remain in place. Nonprofit blocks this action; use the original payment's void workflow with your bookkeeper when a correction is needed.

Retry or skip an item

For a failed charge or payout, correct the reported cause, then select Reprocess Transaction. QixCount retrieves Stripe data and retries processing. This can create payments, allocations, fees, or payout entries in the books. Check the resulting processing status and linked records.

A failed refund retry uses its saved refund ID. In General, a refund with no original posted payment stays failed with a reason. Import the original charge before retrying.

For pending or failed activity you intend to leave unprocessed, select Skip Transaction and confirm. Processed items cannot be skipped. The screen provides no restore action for skipped items.

What happens next

Review the resulting status and linked records. Next, reconcile an account when you are ready to compare its activity with a statement.

Who can do this and what you need

Your business needs an existing Stripe connection with imported activity. Processing needs its accounting mappings configured; retrying requires a configured Stripe Connect connection. Contact the person who manages integrations if these are missing.

Owners can review and act on activity. Other active business users need View reconciliations to view it and Edit bank transactions to match, unmatch, retry, or skip.
