Review and accept category suggestions
Ask Qix for a bank category, review confidence and reasoning, and accept the result.

Qix can suggest a category for an uncategorized bank record.
Ask for a suggestion
- Open Banking, then Bank feed, and select For Review.
- Find a record without a category or suggestion.
- Select the robot control labeled Ask AI to categorize.
- Review the suggested category, percentage, and any information-icon explanation.
Qix chooses from active expense, revenue, asset, and liability accounts. Plaid imports may also have category suggestions based on bank data or merchant-name patterns, so every suggestion is not necessarily from Qix.
Accept the category
If you only want to accept a category, check the proposed account and select Accept.
Acceptance copies the suggestion into Category, marks the record reviewed, and reloads the page. It moves to In QixCount without a posted journal.
If the record needs a new ledger posting, use categorizing and posting instead of Accept. Choose the intended account from Select category..., then select Add before leaving the page. If the proposed account is already selected, select the blank choice first, then the intended account. If you already accepted without posting, check for a linked journal and contact support before correcting it.
Request several suggestions
Select AI Categorize in For Review and confirm. This processes uncategorized records without suggestions for the selected account, up to the remaining daily allowance. It is not restricted to the checked rows or current date/search filters.
The suggestions button showing an acceptance count accepts eligible suggestions on the loaded page, even when the count reflects more records. Check each page before accepting.
Next, review categorizing and posting before adding the bank record to your books.
Troubleshooting
If the daily limit is reached, retry the next day. A record already categorized or already carrying a suggestion cannot request another suggestion through this action. When Qix cannot choose an account, categorize it manually. A Low confidence badge means the stored suggestion is below the configured confidence threshold.
Good to know
A suggestion does not post a journal. Review the transaction and proposed account before accepting it.
You need Edit bank transactions, plus View reconciliations to open the feed. Owners have both. AI categorization must be enabled for the business. If the control is disabled or unavailable, ask the owner or support.
