You can give Qix a task in ordinary words. Some common phrases ask for missing details before preparing a proposal. Direct prompts check the same action permission as the matching Qix tool before looking up contacts, accounts or bills.

Supply the details

Warning

Use the customer payment form or bill payment form to choose the account before recording money. Qix payment proposals do not show the selected account, and a payment request can use a default account. Do not approve a payment when its account or allocations are unclear.

  1. Open Qix in the correct business.
  2. Enter a request using the contact or account name as it appears in your records.
  3. Answer any follow-up in the same conversation.
  4. Review the pending proposal before selecting Approve.
Request Information Qix asks for or uses
create invoice for Oak Hill Fund Item description, quantity, unit price, invoice date, and due date
create bill from Studio & Co. Item details and bill dates; a due date is required to prepare a bill

The examples assume those contacts already exist. Contact searches keep customers and vendors separate, use partial names and select the first match, so check the proposed contact carefully. Include an invoice due date even if Qix's follow-up calls it optional; it is needed to save the invoice.

Keep each request and its follow-up details in the same conversation. If Qix loses the context, repeat the request with the contact, dates, and items. Check that an earlier request has not already created a record before asking again.

Qix can make mistakes; review what it proposes before creating a record.

Continue with Approve an action Qix proposes.

Good to know

A missing permission returns a refusal.

Creating a record still requires your confirmation.
