Stripe connects card payments to your QixCount books. It has two related parts: a connection in Settings, and imported transactions in Stripe activity under Banking.

Only business owners can view or manage connections. Viewing activity needs View reconciliations permission, which is separate from connection settings.

Understand the payment flow

After you connect Stripe, you can enable card payments on invoices. Sending an invoice email can create a Stripe payment link for the invoice's balance due. Your customer completes the card payment in Stripe.

When QixCount imports the successful charge, it creates a payment received record. If it finds an invoice match, it applies the payment up to that invoice's balance due. The payment posts to the selected clearing account, which holds the money before a bank payout. Processing fees use a separate entry when fee syncing is enabled. In General, QixCount can use a calculated fee if it cannot retrieve the actual fee from Stripe; compare fees with Stripe when reviewing the import.

A payout moves money from the clearing account to the bank account selected for that Stripe connection. A card charge and its bank payout therefore appear as different Stripe activity records.

Read connection statuses

Status Meaning
Connected The saved connection is active. Card payment links also require Stripe to allow charges on the account.
Error A connection test failed. Open the connection to read the error.
Disconnected The account has been disconnected in QixCount. Its imported history remains.

Last Synced shows Never until a sync has completed. Its transaction count opens activity filtered to that connection.
