Prepare one row per bank transaction

  1. Put each transaction's date in one column.
  2. Put its signed amount in one column.
  3. Add description, payee and reference columns if you have them.
  4. Save as a comma-separated CSV or TXT file, up to 10 MB.

Use a header row and at least one transaction. This sample layout works with the default amount settings:

Date,Amount,Description,Payee,Reference
11/01/2026,-45.00,Office supplies,Studio & Co.,CHECK-10
11/02/2026,500.00,Customer payment,,INV-20
Map to Required? Contents
Date Yes A real calendar date in the selected date format.
Amount Yes One nonzero signed amount.
Description No Transaction details.
Payee / Merchant No Who received or sent the money.
Reference / Check # No Your reference or check number.

The importer does not combine separate debit and credit columns. Prepare a single signed amount before uploading. A minus sign before or after the number, or parentheses around it, marks a negative amount.

Confirm the interpretation

With Negative amounts are withdrawals selected, negative amounts become withdrawals and positive amounts become deposits. Reverse all amounts (flip sign) reverses the signs first. Clearing the withdrawal option makes all imported amounts deposits.

Choose an explicit Date Format for day-first dates. Auto-detect chooses day-first order for the whole file when a row can only be day first and none can only be month first; otherwise it uses month first. A file with no day above 12 therefore reads month first. Auto-detect accepts two-digit years. Impossible dates are refused and listed as row errors. Check the dates in For Review after importing.

Headers need not use these exact names because you map the columns. Leave First row is header (skip during import) selected for the sample layout.
