# Work with Nonprofit funds, gifts and grants

Use Nonprofit setup, recorded gifts, reviewed grants and dedicated reports in an eligible workspace.

October 9–10, 2026. Nonprofit workspaces add funds, programs, donor profiles, cash gifts, donor restrictions, grants and dedicated reports alongside the shared accounting screens. Records carry financial coding used in posting and reports.

Start with the Nonprofit setup sequence. Posting requires an accessible active or trial Nonprofit subscription, approved account mappings and an active Operating fund. Each task keeps its own permission requirements. Some setup screens remain available before posting readiness is approved.

Gift entry records reviewed cash allocations. Grant workflows retain a named classification review before financial activity begins. Dedicated reports let authorized users inspect posted history by the supported account and financial coding selections. These screens record your choices and checks; they do not decide the legal or accounting treatment of an organization or agreement.
