## Get your workspace ready

1. Open **Dashboard** in the business you own.
2. Follow [Your first week](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/getting-started/your-first-week) to review setup and begin recording work.
3. Use [Roles and permissions](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/people-and-security/roles-and-permissions) before giving someone access.

Owners have all business permissions. Some settings, including business profile, billing and team management, also require ownership. Giving an employee a settings permission does not make them an owner. Features and the business's edition still determine which pages apply.
