# How Qix finds Help Center instructions

Understand the guides Qix uses for how-to answers and what to do when no matching guide is available.

Canonical: https://demo.qixcount.com/help/qix-ai/help-center-answers

Who can do this: Owners, internal team members and assigned firm accountants; free viewers cannot send questions

You'll need: Qix and its chat window enabled; Nonprofit also needs posting readiness and subscription access

When you ask how to use a screen, Qix is instructed to search published Help Center guides first and link to the guide behind its answer.

## Ask for instructions

1. Open Qix in the business where you need help.
2. Enter a task-focused question, such as “How do I record a payment?”
3. Open the article link in the answer.
4. Follow the guide and check that its screen matches the task you want to perform.

Qix's help search returns up to five matching guides, with titles, summaries, short extracts, and links. It does not need permission to change your books to search help.

## If Qix cannot find instructions

Qix is instructed to say that it could not find supported instructions and suggest contacting support. Try the screen name or a shorter task phrase. If help search is unavailable, use the Help Center directly or contact support.

Qix can make mistakes, including when it summarizes a guide. Open the linked article before following a procedure that affects money. A how-to answer does not itself execute a transaction.

Continue with [Approve an action Qix proposes](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/qix-ai/approve-an-action) if you want Qix to prepare a change.

## Good to know

The search uses the edition of your current business, so a General question and a Nonprofit question can return different instructions.
