# Change user places

Review and accept a change to internal user capacity, including payment timing and scheduled reductions.

You'll need: An active USD subscription with user pricing and a future period end; enough places for members and invitations, and no pending change or prepared renewal

User places are capacity for internal people in your business. Owners, employees and internal accountants use places.

## Review and accept a change

1. Open **Settings**, then **Plan & billing**.
2. In **User places**, enter a whole number in **Places you want**.
3. Select **Review price**.
4. Review **Current subscription**, **New recurring subscription**, **Due now** and **Effective**.
5. Select the checkbox accepting the limits and prices for your business.
6. Select **Accept change** or **Accept and continue to payment**, whichever appears.

The price review expires after 30 minutes. If it expires or the terms change, review a new one. Selecting **Cancel** on the review returns to billing without accepting it.

## What happens next

| Change | Result |
| --- | --- |
| During an active trial | Capacity changes on acceptance; the trial end date stays the same. |
| Increase during a paid period | Any charge covers the remaining portion of the current period. Extra capacity activates after verified payment when a charge is due, or on acceptance when nothing is due. |
| Decrease that lowers the recurring price during a paid period | The recurring amount decreases at renewal, without a mid-period refund. |

A scheduled reduction immediately limits new members and reservations to the lower capacity, although its price takes effect at renewal.

## Cancel a pending change

In **Pending changes**, select **Cancel change**. This cancels a capacity change, not your subscription. A change cannot be canceled while its invoice has a payment in progress or belongs to a firm invoice. A prepared renewal invoice containing a reduction also requires support to revise or void it first.

If a delayed payment needs review, it is recorded but extra capacity is not activated. Contact support for a credit or refund review.

## Good to know

Pending internal invitations reserve places without starting a charge.

Your current subscription sets the user capacity. Replaced subscriptions remain history and do not add or reduce places.

Read-only viewers and approved named firm accountants are free under user-pricing terms.

## Who can do this and what you need

You must be a business owner. The subscription must support user pricing, be active in USD and have a future period end. An ended trial cannot change capacity. Existing subscriptions can retain different terms; use the amounts shown for your business and the [public pricing page](https://qixcount.com/pricing) for current offers.

You can request 3 to 1,000 places. Your internal members and reserved invitations must fit. Complete or cancel any pending change first. A prepared renewal invoice can also block a change; contact support if that happens.
