# Manage a Stripe connection

Review account mappings, test a connection, disconnect Stripe or remove an unused connection.

Canonical: https://demo.qixcount.com/help/integrations/manage-a-stripe-connection

Who can do this: Business owners

Where: Settings, then Integrations

You'll need: An existing Stripe connection

Review a connection's accounts before importing Stripe activity. Only business owners can use these controls.

## Review account mappings

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Select **Integrations**.
3. Select **Manage Stripe**. If no connection is currently connected, this button reads **Connect Stripe** and opens the same page.
4. Select the connection's pencil icon, labeled **Edit**.
5. Review **Connection Name** and **Account Mappings**.

| Field | How QixCount uses it |
| --- | --- |
| **Connection Name** | Your name for the connection; required, up to 255 characters. |
| **Clearing Account** | Required active bank-type asset account. Imported charges first post here. |
| **Revenue Account (Optional)** | Optional revenue account mapping. General refunds use the accounts credited by the original payment instead. |
| **Processing Fees Account (Optional)** | Active expense account used for processing fees. Importing a fee needs this mapping. |
| **Payout Bank Account (Optional)** | Active bank account that receives payouts. Importing a payout needs this mapping and the bank account's linked accounting account. |

The **Sync Settings** area shows options for charges, refunds, fees and payouts. New connections have all four selected. Clear an option and save to turn that import off.

6. Select **Update Connection** to save.

The selected payout bank account is marked as belonging to this Stripe connection. Changing mappings does not rewrite entries already imported.

## Test the account

On **Stripe Connections**, select the activity icon labeled **Test Connection**. A successful test confirms QixCount can retrieve the Stripe account and marks the connection **Connected**. A failed test marks it **Error** and shows the failure message. Testing does not import transactions.

Continue with [Sync Stripe transactions](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/integrations/sync-stripe-transactions).

## Disconnect or delete a connection

> [!WARNING]
> Disconnecting prevents new manual syncs and new payment-link creation through this connection. Already issued payment links are not removed by this action. Existing imported records remain in your books.

1. Select the link icon labeled **Disconnect** on **Stripe Connections**.
2. Confirm the disconnection.

To remove an unused connection, select **Delete** after disconnecting it, then confirm. QixCount blocks deletion when the connection has imported transactions. Disconnect it to retain that history.

To authorize the account again, use [Connect Stripe](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/integrations/connect-stripe).
