# I did not get an email

Check the destination and the kind of email before retrying or asking support to investigate.

Canonical: https://demo.qixcount.com/help/fix-a-problem/did-not-get-an-email

Who can do this: Email recipients; business owners review team invitations and sending settings

You'll need: The kind of email, expected address and time it was requested

Check the intended address and spam folder first. Then follow the path for the kind of message you expected.

## Identify the missing message

1. Confirm the address used for the request or invitation.
2. Check that inbox and its spam folder.
3. Note the time of the request and any result shown in QixCount.
4. Follow the matching check below.

For a team invitation, ask the owner to review the pending invitation. A pending invitation can be resent from the team page. An invitation that cannot be resent needs its current status checked first.

For a password reset, use [Change or reset your password](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/people-and-security/change-or-reset-your-password) with your account address. Read any error before another request; repeated requests can be limited.

For an invoice email, use [My customer did not get an invoice](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/fix-a-problem/customer-did-not-get-invoice), since posting an invoice is a separate action from emailing it.

## Review business sending

Business owners can check [Email sending](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/setup/email-sending). A successful saved-connection test only checks the connection; it does not send a message or prove inbox delivery. Business sending can fall back to QixCount sending if the business's own server fails.

Contact support with the email type, destination, request time and exact result if it still does not arrive. Never send your email password or reset link.
