# A bank transaction is missing

Look through feed tabs and filters before checking the connection or importing another file.

Canonical: https://demo.qixcount.com/help/fix-a-problem/bank-transaction-is-missing

Who can do this: Owners, or people with *View reconciliations*; syncing needs *Edit bank transactions*

Where: Banking, then Bank feed

You'll need: The account, date and amount shown on your bank statement

A record may have moved out of review or be hidden by a filter. Check those possibilities before uploading overlapping bank data.

## Look beyond the review tab

1. Open **Banking**, then **Bank feed**.
2. Select the account that contains the transaction.
3. Clear the date, type and search filters.
4. Check **For Review**, **In QixCount** and **Excluded**.

Reviewing or importing a record moves it between these lists. A bank removal can also send an unused record to **Excluded**. Use [Exceptions](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/banking/exceptions) when the bank changed or removed activity already used in the books.

## Check whether it arrived

For a Plaid account, open its account page and inspect **Last Sync**. Someone with *Edit bank transactions* can run the [sync workflow](https://demo.qixcount.com/help/banking/sync-and-review). A later sync can add records absent from the first result; a successful first sync is not proof that all history arrived.

If the statement transaction is still absent, contact support with the account name, date, amount and latest sync result. Check the gap before importing another file, since overlapping records may already be present elsewhere in the feed.
