# Why can't I change the number of user places?

Capacity changes depend on accepted terms, subscription status and outstanding changes.

You must be an owner with an active USD subscription supporting user pricing and a future period end. An ended trial, pending change or prepared renewal invoice can block another change. Choose 3 to 1,000 places, enough for current internal members and reserved invitations. Price reviews expire after 30 minutes; changed terms need a fresh review.
