# Did Save & Send email my invoice?

Marking an invoice sent posts it; sending its email is a separate action.

No. **Save & Send** marks an eligible invoice sent and posts it to the books using its invoice date. It does not email the customer. Open the saved invoice and select **Email Invoice**, then **Send Email** after reviewing the document. A Sent status alone is not proof of an email.
