# Why isn't my draft in the trial balance?

The trial balance uses posted entries through the selected date; General includes inactive accounts with activity.

Saving a draft does not post accounting activity. The trial balance includes posted entries through its selected date. General includes inactive accounts with activity; Nonprofit includes active accounts. Check posting and the date. In Nonprofit, also check that the account remains active. You need *View financial reports* permission to open the report. Generating it does not post anything.
