# Does reducing user places give an immediate refund?

No. On a paid subscription, a reduction that lowers the recurring price takes effect at renewal, without a mid-period refund. The lower scheduled capacity immediately limits new internal members and invitation reservations. Your current members and reservations must already fit the requested capacity. During an active trial, acceptance changes capacity while preserving the trial end date.
